Make a Dovetailed, Veneered & Inlaid Box with Bob Van Dyke
In this class students will get the chance to learn a lot of new skills all packed into one small project. This elegant box features dovetails, working with veneer , an inlayed banding on the top and accurately setting hinges. This is a great chance to learn a unique (and quick!) way of cutting dovetails- 1/2 on the tablesaw and 1/2 by hand. They come out great every time. Maybe you have been wanting to learn some veneering techniques and a little about inlaying a decorative banding or stringing detail- Here is your chance.
